Embrace Your Inner Warrior

In its original, most literal meaning, a drengr is a rock that stands on its own out at sea, alone against the raging waves. From this notion arose the concept of the drengr warrior. There is no higher compliment in Old Norse than to be called a drengr – a person with reckless courage in the face of adversity. To be a drengr is to be valiant.

 

Our Mission

Drengr Discipline offers several variations of functional fitness training and mindset training. Our goal is to bring clients the ideal platform to become physically and mentally stronger versions of themselves – to become their own version of a drengr.

MEET YOUR COACH

Many people who see Aaron now see the person he is today and form their own perspective of who he is; however, he hasn’t always been who he is today. He endured over a decade of facing severe states of depression, anxiety, chronic stress, and anger which led to poor lifestyle choices in his day-to-day life. Bad eating habits further led to high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, and even prediabetes.  

 

Now, hindsight is clear: Rome wasn’t built in a day – nor was it destroyed in a day. We are the result of the cumulative behaviors that occur in our day-to-day lives. With every choice we make, we’re either building or decaying. Upon developing the sense of self-realization, Aaron was able to make the choices he knew he had to make to break free from the cycle he was repeatedly enduring.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

For over 2 years I have been competing in a functional fitness race called Hyrox. Given the well-rounded demands of the competition, I noticed that I needed guidance in bringing all the bits and pieces together. Given my scientific background, I was trying to talk to somebody who had scientific knowledge about energy systems, periodization and tapering.

Working together with Aaron was an absolute game changer. His expertise and personalized approach transformed my preparation into a remarkable experience. From weekly workout plans that pushed my limits, to monthly calls and insightful nutritional advice; Aaron's dedication ensured that I was not only physically, but also mentally prepared for the challenges ahead. His unwavering daily support, motivation and genuine interest in my progress were instrumental in helping me push my limits. And I did.

 

Every 2-3 months I would go out and race; every race proved my overall fitness had drastically improved due to the excellent 'hybrid' programming. Thanks to Aaron, I not only conquered the Hyrox course but also gained invaluable knowledge about hybrid training that I will carry with me beyond the season. For me, it was an investment in my success that I will forever appreciate.

I've been using Aaron's "food cravings" hypnosis audio every night, and it's been eye-opening. The visualization techniques are really helping me stay focused on eating for fuel not for comfort. I'm learning to channel my thoughts about food more effectively and push through those times I want to emotionally eat.

 

What's surprising is how it's impacting me overall. I'm noticing improved sleep quality and a more positive outlook throughout the day.

I met Aaron in late 2023. He was friends with my old coach. At the time, my old coach wasn’t able to extend our relationship due to personal reasons, and I was disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to find someone to “get me” in the same sense. When I met Aaron, he immediately put all of that to rest.

 

Aaron was personable and relatable in so many ways. I had struggled with self esteem issues in my youth, and hearing Aaron’s story hit home to me. It lit a flame inside of me that brought a sense of hope. I hired Aaron for his one on one work. Aaron has been so punctual with his weekly check ins and always keeps me accountable.

 

The workouts he assigns me are crafted to my needs, and he has been amazing at helping me with modifications as needed. My overall athleticism has improved and in just 2 months, I have shaved over a minute off of my 5k time. I definitely recommend his services.
